College Football Preview

Hello fellow college football fans, welcome to my college football season preview series. From now until the college football season starts, I will be previewing two college football teams a week. I plan to cover all major programs within all the conferences. I plan on looking at teams from the ACC to the SEC. I will give you my predictions for what these teams will do this year. Please feel free to interact and debate my conclusions, I enjoy interacting with all college football fans. So without further ado let us get this party started.

For my seventh installment, I decided to go with the PAC 12. The team I see that will be interesting to watch will be the Washington Huskies. There is no doubt that quarterback Jake Browning will be what makes the offense go. Browning threw for 2719 yards with 19 touchdowns to just five interceptions. His completion percentage was 68.5 percent. In addition, running back Myles Gaskin should have another big year; he averaged 6.2 yards per carry. Also defensively, they have a talented defensive backfield to anchor their defense. Washington will be tested week one playing Auburn, after that I see them being the favorite in every game the rest of the season. I can see Washington going 10-2 winning the PAC 12 North.

The other team from the PAC 12 I have to pay attention to is of course the USC Trojans. This historic program is another one of those teams’ either fans love or hate. USC enters the year coming off an 11-3 season and a conference championship win. USC’s biggest question marks will be at quarterback with Sam Darnold leaving and running back with Ronald Jones leaving. Will USC, use a running back by committee approach to this season? I see USC having a strong defense but everything will center on what happens at the quarterback position. I think USC will have a rough start to the season with games at Stanford in week two and at Texas in week three. I think USC will rebound from a 1-2 start and finish the season with a 9-3 record that will be good enough to win the PAC 12 South.

Let me know what you think and I will see you next week.
