Top 10 Thursday; NBA Basketball

Week 4 of the NBA season has come to a close and with many surprises already underway this season, who knows what to expect going forward into week 5?

10. Cleveland Cavaliers (4-6) Previous Rank: 6
Last game: Houston Rockets
Next game: Dallas Mavericks
LeBron James will stop at nothing to help get the Cavaliers rolling here earlier this season. James scored 57 points in a win against the Washington Wizards.


9. Los Angeles Clippers (5-4) Previous Rank: 4
Last game: San Antonio Spurs
Next game: Oklahoma City Thunder
After ranking first in defensive efficiency at the start of the season the Clippers now rank 14th after losing to the Warriors, Memphis, and Miami.


8. Detroit Pistons (7-3) Previous Rank: N/A
Last game: Indiana Pacers
Next game: Atlanta Hawks
Drummond has improved his free throwing shooting a lot as he went from 38% last season to 75% so far this season.


7. Toronto Raptors (5-4) Previous Rank: 8
Last game: New Orleans Pelicans
Next game: Boston Celtics
The Raptors went 3-3 in there Western Conference stretch. Two of the losses from the Warriors and Spurs was by a combined 9 points.


6. San Antonio Spurs (6-4) Previous Rank: 2
Last game: Los Angeles Clippers
Next game: Milwaukee Bucks
The Spurs lost two match ups at home, one of which came Thursday after the Spurs blew a 19 point lead against the Warriors.


5. Memphis (6-4) Previous Rank: 5
Last game: Portland Trailblazers
Next game: Houston Rockets
The Grizzles have good perimeter defense especially against the Rockets. During the two games they played the Rockets so far this season the Grizzles held them to just 38 3-point attempts.


4. Minnesota Timberwolves (7-3) Previous Rank: N/A
Last game: Golden State Warriors
Next game: Phoenix Suns
The Timberwolves seemed to mesh a lot sooner than I expected after winning 5 straight games for the first time since 2009.

Last game: Cleveland Cavaliers
Next game: Memphis Grizzles
James Harden continues to power the Rockets offense as he averages 29.5 PPG and 9.7 APG. Harden was responsible for 91 points on Sunday when the team defeated the Jazz 137-110 where James had 56 points and 13 assists.


2. Boston Celtics (8-2) Previous Rank: 7
Last game: Los Angeles Lakers
Next game: Charlotte Hornets
The Celtics went on to win 8 straight games after losing the first 2 of the season. The Celtics have a top team defensively and will continue to shine with the young players for years to come.


1. Golden State Warriors (7-3) Previous Rank: 3
Last game: Minnesota Timberwolves
Next game: Philadelphia 76ers
The rest of the league should be in awe as the best team offensively has improved since last season.
