What is Causing The WWE To Make All These Changes?

Other sites are describing it as as a medical outbreak, or something else to get your attention and your clicks. In reality, it is the mumps. Yes, seriously, the mumps. WWE had been testing RAW talents for Viral Meningitis, however, it was later discovered that the illness was the mumps. Most people don’t think o the mumps as a disease that effects many people anymore because as a kid, most of us were vaccinated for them. But apparently, someone introduced the virus to to the Raw Superstars and it spread to those Superstars who were not vaccinated. Obviously, Roman Reigns and Bray Wayatt and Jo Jo all have been infected. But, it is unclear if any other talent has also contracted the virus. Mumps used to be common. But since the introduction of the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine in 1967, it’s been almost fully wiped out.

What Should You Do To Not Contract The Mumps?

The Center For Disease Control recommends children get two doses of the vaccine. They should get the first at 12 to 15 months old and the second between 4 and 6 years. Teens and adults should make sure their MMR vaccinations are up to date.If you haven’t been vaccinated, you can get mumps. Some people have it without knowing it.

What Are The Mumps?

According to WebMD.com the mumps are an infection caused by a virus that’s easily spread through saliva and mucus. It usually happens in kids who haven’t been immunized.

Mumps can affect any part of the body, but it mostly affects saliva-making glands below and in front of the ears. Those glands can swell if infected. In fact, puffy cheeks and a swollen jaw are the telltale signs of the virus.

How Did WWE Supstars Get The Mumps?

Infected people can spread it to others by something as simple as coughing, sneezing, or talking, sharing cups and utensils with others or not properly washing their hands and touching items that other people then touch. And as stated above some people actually can have the virus and not know it. Which means they can then spread the virus and not know it. Knowing all this, finding the root of the cause will be difficult, and making sure you and your family are protected is also paramount. You have to remember, these athletes are constantly tested and surrounded by the finest doctors money can buy. They got the mumps, so could you.

So Just Give the WWE Superstars Some Medicine And Have Them Still Perform

Honestly, that was what I thought. But, it seems in doing a little research about the virus, it is not that easy, especially in adults. Again according to WebMD.com if you get mumps, there’s no treatment. That’s because antibiotics don’t work on a virus. You have to simply let it run its course. But mumps can also cause a number of problems, including inflammation of the brain, ovaries, breast tissue, and testicles in males who’ve already gone through puberty.

Wow, that got my attention. This is serious, and may keep the infected talent out of action for a few weeks.

What Do These Changes Mean Moving Forward?

I am shocked that they choose Kurt Angel to be the one who joined The Shield. I know these changes were done out of necessity, but Kurt Angel is still a shock to me. Will this be a once in a lifetime thing, or a storyline moving forward? Inserting AJ Styles into the match is just putting someone in a match with Baylor who will deliver a good match. I was hoping for an actual person to be sister Abigail, although I am very worried that I am going to be disappointed, now we will have to wait a couple weeks to find out. Lastly, notice that the official WWE release above still calls Finn Baylor “The Demon” therefore, I am expecting “The Demon” to show up this Sunday on the WWE Network.
