Injuries plague the Redskins defense. The offense cant afford costly turnovers such as on Sunday. Chris Thompson is a spark that can help a lot with the offense in the future.

9. Los Angeles Rams (4-2) Previous Rank: N/A
Last Game: Defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-17
Next Game: Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals
The special teams have impressed behind Pharoh Cooper during opening kick-off. The defense is looking solid as well as Todd Gurley looking more and more like his rookie self.

8. Denver Broncos (3-2) Previous Rank: 6
Last Game: Lost to the New York Giants 23-10
Next Game: Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers
The offense has some issues after an injury to Emmanuel Sanders. The defense will have to continue to force turnovers and apply pressure to opposing quarterbacks.

7. Carolina Panthers (4-2) Previous Rank: 7
Last Game: Lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 28-23
Next Game: Sunday against the Chicago Bears
The Luke Kuechly injury is scary to see has he is an impactful player on the defense and could see some time out.

6. Atlanta Falcons (3-2) Previous Rank 3
Last Game: Lost to the Miami Dolphins 20-17
Next Game: Sunday against the New England Patriots
The offense couldn’t generate the run game while all Miami could do was run the ball and Atlanta’s defense couldn’t stop it.

5. Seattle Seahawks (3-2) Previous Rank: 9
Last Game: Bye
Next Game: Sunday against the New York Giants
The Seahawks defense is continuing to improve after a rocky start. The Seahawks run game is still in question as Thomas Rawls is receiving little carries and Eddie Lacy is continuing to see more touches.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) Previous Rank: 8
Last Game: Defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 19-13
Next Game: Sunday against the Bengals
The Steelers are inconsistent they can play well against top team but fall flat against the crappy ones. Le’Veon Bell was able to ignite the offense and lift a load of off Big Bens shoulders.

3. New England Patriots (4-2) Previous Rank: 4
Last Game: Defeated the New York Jets 24-17
Next Game: Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons
Gronkowski is beginning to show sparks of his old self. The defense seems to still lack confidence but can make stops when needed.

2. Philadelphia Eagles (5-1) Previous Rank: 5
Last Game: Defeated the Carolina Panthers 28-23
Next Game: Monday against the Washington Redskins
The Eagles have found success when getting the ball to playmakers LeGarrette Blount and Nelson Agholor.

1. Kansas City Chiefs (5-1) Previous Rank:1
Last Game: Lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 19-13
Next Game: Tonight against the Oakland Raiders
The major key is protection. The Chiefs need to figure out how to work Eric Fisher rightfully so plays like Sunday when James Harrison broke through don’t happen.
