Tribe Take: The Winning Continues

The Tribe, winners of 29 of their last 31, have continued to dominate all across the board. The club is still proving to be great, despite losing the streak, and are winning games convincingly with ease. They look to still be headed in the right direction as the postseason nears.

This week, Monday started with a well earned off day. The guys had a free day before hitting the road and heading out to Los Angeles to take on the Angels.

The 3 game stint with the AL Wild Card contenders began on Tuesday with a 6-3 Tribe win. Mike Clevinger pitched a gem, taking a no-no into the 5th inning, and getting solid backup from his offense.

Frankie Lindor broke a 7th inning tie with a solo homer, and the Tribe bullpen held off a late Angel attack in Game 2 on Wednesday, earning a 6-5 victory.

The Indians SS came through again, powering the club to a sweep with a 3 run homer in the 5th inning of Game 3. The Tribe went on to win the series with a 4-1 final victory.

After the sweep of LA, the club headed up to Seattle to take on the Mariners in a 3 game weekend series. Veteran DH Nelson Cruz handed the Indians their first loss in the last 8 games when he blasted a 2 run walk off homer to seal the deal.

The Tribe bounced right back, though, with an offensive explosion of their own, putting up 11 runs off homers from Lindor and Jose Ramirez on Saturday. The Tribe put all of their offensive talents on display, with everyone contributing to the scoresheet in a great weekend splash.

Sunday was a great end to the week, as ace Corey Kluber pitched a gem, and the offensive production came to play again, as the Tribe put up a final of 4-2 to advance to 5-1 on the week.
