Last Week: #1

Alabama had no problem with their SEC game against Kentucky. The next three games are going to be tougher as they are against ranked opponents starting with Arkansas. For now though, the only way for Alabama to lose the #1 spot is to lose a game.

2. Ohio State Buckeyes (4-0)

Coming off a close game against Wisconsin, Michigan stays put in the rankings. They will have to wait until the three ahead of them lose, or play a seriously close game against an unranked opponent to move up. For now, they focus on Rutgers and staying at #4.

After a blowout win over UConn, Houston cracks the Top 5 in this weeks rankings. They still have the advantage of an easy schedule going forward. For them, they will be on the outside looking in for the Playoffs if they lose one of those games.

Last Week: #3

After the close loss on the road to Clemson, Louisville drops three spots this week. They will look to rebound this weekend with a home game against a dismal Duke team. All in all, they were lucky they made the game close, otherwise they may have dropped out of the Top 10.

7. Washington Huskies (5-0)

Washington stunned Stanford, beating them 44-6, and are now heavy favorites to win the PAC-12. A road game against Oregon this week shouldn’t be too much of an issue for them.

Last Week: N/A

A newcomer to the Top 10, Tennessee has had a good season so far. In back-to-back weeks they have beaten Florida, and Georgia, both teams who were ranked in the Top 25 before those games. Now, they face a road test against Texas A&M, and the following week a home game against the nations top team, Alabama. A rough four weeks for the Volunteers.

10. Wisconsin Badgers (4-1)

Last Week: #8

Dropping to #10 after a close game against Michigan, Wisconsin showed their defense should be feared, but their offense shouldn’t be. In a old fashion, low scoring Big Ten game they failed to move the ball with consistency. Keeping is close keeps them in the Top 10 this week.

Dropping Out:

Stanford (#7 Last Week)

Christian McCaffrey can’t be the whole team, and Washington exposed that.
