- Alabama Crimson Tide (4-0)
Last Week: #1
Alabama once again rolls into the heart of conference play undefeated under Nick Saban. They have a tough stretch in conference play, as they will face three opponents in the Top 25 over the next four weeks, if those teams don’t drop out.
2. Ohio State Buckeyes (3-0)
Last Week: #2
Ohio State has looked dominant in there first three games this season, scoring at least 45 points in all three games. They open conference play against Rutgers this weekend, and currently have four Top 25 teams to play in conference this season.
3. Louisville Cardinals (4-0)
Last Week: #3
Lamar Jackson has owned the field every time he has stepped on it this season for the Cardinals. This weekend may be different as they face off against another Top 5 team, the Clemson Tigers.
4. Michigan Wolverines (4-0)
Last Week: #4
Michigan has breezed through their first four games this year, having no problems moving the ball or scoring. This weekend we will see what the offense is really made of as they face a stingy Wisconsin defense.
5. Clemson Tigers (4-0)
Last Week: #5
Deshaun Watson and the rushing attack of Clemson have carried the team through the first four weeks of the season. As they prepare for their game against #3 Louisville, they will have in the back of their minds the Cardinals own Star QB, Lamar Jackson.
6. Huston Cougars (4-0)
Last Week: #6
The sleeper out of the American Athletic burst onto the scene with a Week 1 win over then ranked #3 Oklahoma, who has now dropped out of the Top 25. The Cougars have a chance to run the table this year, with the only road block being a late season game against #3 Louisville.
7. Stanford Cardinals (3-0)
Last Week: #7
Lead by Heisman hopeful Christian McCaffrey, Stanford barely escaped UCLA last week. Now, they have to face another Top 10 team this weekend in Washington. If the Cardinals want to win the PAC-12, they need to start helping McCaffrey.
8. Wisconsin Badgers (4-0)
Last Week: #11
A newcomer to the Top 10, Wisconsin throttled Michigan State last week to earn a spot. Their defense has carried them through their first four games, but with the heart of Big Ten play coming up their offense will need to show up more often. They have it tough the next two weeks playing #4 Michigan and #2 Ohio State.
9. Texas A&M Aggies (4-0)
Last Week: #10
Flipping spots with #10 on our list, the Aggies have played well this season. They have two wins against ranked teams, and have a chance to prove themselves even more in the next three weeks. Two of the three games over that stretch are against #11 Tennessee and #1 Alabama.
10. Washington Huskies (4-0)
Last Week: #9
Dropping one spot after a close game to Arizona, Washington can prove they belong this weekend as they play #7 Stanford. If they can contain McCaffrey and the Cardinals, look for them to become heavy favorites in the PAC-12.
Dropping Out:
Michigan State (#8 Last Week)
MSU has come serious work to do if they want back in the Top 10.
