Last week: #1

Kyle Hendricks continues to dominate and Kris Bryant has been stating his case for N.L. MVP. The benching of Jason Heyward seems to have worked, he’s been hitting the ball. The Cubs are rolling right into September and they’ll most likely treat it like spring training, resting a lot of guys.

  1. Washington Nationals


Last week: #2

The Nationals had a great August and they’ll look to keep that momentum going in September. Which shouldn’t be a problem at all for this team.

  1. Texas Rangers


Last week: #5

If the Rangers play .500 baseball for the rest of the regular season, they’ll finish with at least 92 wins.

  1. Toronto Blue Jays


Last week: #3

After posting a whopping 5.18 ERA with the Mariners, Joaquin Benoit has now worked 13.1 scoreless innings for Toronto.

  1. Los Angeles Dodgers


Last week: #7

It looks like Clayton Kershaw is nearing a rehab assignment.

  1. Cleveland Indians


Last week: #4

The Indians acquired veteran outfielder Coco Crisp to help them in the stretch run.

Last week: #6

Drew Pomeranz had two rough starts in his first three Red Sox outings, but he now sports a 2.70 ERA in six August outings.

Hey! The Giants got a series win…. but it was over the Braves.

The Orioles are really missing Chris Tillman; they hope to get him back very soon.

The Tigers are currently battling for a spot in the second Wild Card.
