Tomahawks and Touchdowns: Training Camp Update

EricBerryFlamesThe Kansas City Chiefs training camp kicked off last week and their first team practice was Saturday. They are still missing some key players due to injury and failed contract negotiations. The Chiefs also signed 2013 first round draft pick Eric Fisher to a four-year contract. Eric Berry failed to report to training camp Friday. He was not expected to report to camp because of failed contract negotiations earlier this summer. The Chiefs placed a franchise tag on Berry in March but failed to sign him to a long-term contract by the July deadline. He is not expected to attend training camp this year and will likely miss the majority of the preseason.

He entered training camp on the physically unable to participate list and there does not appear to be a timetable for his return. The Chiefs are also missing linebackers Justin Houston and Tamba Hali. Both players had surgery during the off-season and were placed on the PUP list to start training camp.
