The Chiefs will hope to build on the success they had in the second half of the 2015 season. The Chiefs started off the 2015 season slow but ended up winning their last ten games. The Chiefs capped off their remarkable 2015 season with their first playoff win in 22 years.


The Chiefs 2015 preseason gave fans hope for the upcoming season. They finished 4-0 and looked like a complete team. The Chiefs first game of the season was against the Houston Texans. The game was close but the Chiefs pulled out a 27-20 win. The Chiefs season was off to a great start and hopes were high for the season.


The Chiefs five game losing streak started at home against division rival Denver Broncos. The Chiefs had the lead with 2:21 remaining in the game but a last minute drive by Peyton Manning and a costly fumble by Jamaal Charles put the Broncos over the top 31-24. The Chiefs needed to move past the loss because they were in the middle of the toughest part of their schedule. The Chiefs lost their next four games. Four of the five opponents the Chiefs faced during their losing streak eventually made the playoffs.


JamaalCharlesInjuryThe Chiefs suffered a huge setback week five. Jamaal Charles suffered a torn ACL in the Chiefs loss to the Chicago Bears. Jamaal Charles has been one of the most valuable players for the Chiefs throughout his career and when he was lost for the season the future looked bleak.


The Chiefs started to turn their season around week seven. The Chiefs played the always tough Pittsburgh Steelers at home and it was a must win game. The Chiefs won 23-13 and it was apparent that the Chiefs could win without Jamaal Charles. The Chiefs next game took place in London at Wembley Stadium. The Chiefs won the International Series game 45-10. Kansas City would go on to win their next eight games including five games against division rivals.WildCardKCvsHouston


The Chiefs made the playoffs as a wild card and they faced the Houston Texans in the first round of the playoffs. The Chiefs had one of the longest playoff win droughts in the NFL. The Chiefs cruised past the Houston Texans 30-0. It was the first playoff shutout in a decade. The Chiefs moved on to face the New England Patriots in the divisional round. The Chiefs lost the game 20-27.


The Chiefs had a remarkable season in 2015 and they will look to build on the success in 2016. The Chiefs won 11 of their final 12 games and finished with a 5-1 record in the AFC West. The Chiefs 2016 season is approaching quickly and if they start the season the way they finished in 2015 they could be one of the toughest teams in the NFL.
