Top Ten Thursday

  1. Cleveland Indians

Last week: #4

The Indians made history by winning 14 consecutive games, a franchise record.

  1. Chicago Cubs

Last week: #2

Have you seen that National League All-Star starting lineup?

  1. San Francisco Giants

Last week: #3

Bullpen help is what the Giants need to keep making that push to October.

  1. Texas Rangers

Last week: #1

Like I mentioned before, the Rangers’ cracks might start to show. The bullpen will definitely need help and if their starting pitchers can’t get healthy, they will need another arm.

  1. Washington Nationals

Last week: #6

Stephen Strasburg is back and better than ever.

  1. Baltimore Orioles

Last week: #5

Despite Baltimore’s hot offense, their pitching is the complete opposite.

  1. Los Angeles Dodgers

Last week: #8

The Dodgers aren’t that far away from the Giants for 1st place in the National League West.

  1. Houston Astros

Last week: #9

As long as Jose Altuve stays hot, the Astros will be in the playoff race.

  1. Boston Red Sox

Last week: #7

Pitching is still a problem for Boston.

  1. New York Mets

Last week: N/A

Bad news for the Mets: Matt Harvey is on the 15-day disabled list. He surrendered 11 hits in his last start, two shy of his career-high.

Left off the list this week:

Toronto Blue Jays (Last week: #10)

Marco Estrada was placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Blue Jays on Wednesday, ruling him out from the All-Star Game on July 12th. But the rest could be the best thing for him right now.
