OTOGH: On the DL: Lewis, Holland and Darvish

ColbyLewisCenterTo say there is a disaster in the making, Colby Lewis was shaking during his last start losing to the Reds 8 to 2. Turned out something very bad was going on. Lewis had an MRI and it showed a grade 2 Lat tear in his right shoulder. Lewis is going to be out a minimum of two months, with four weeks of no hold bar, no matter what, ain’t going to happen, NO PITCHING AT ALL. That’s if everything goes great. If that was the only thing but NO. My personal favorite Ranger, Derek Holland has shoulder inflammation. I suspect this has been going on a while with Holland, I know he is sick of being on the DL and dealing with injuries and I know he just wants to play. I am hoping this is not something more serious, but as of right now he is out on the 15 day DL.
Calling up Luke Jackson, to replace Holland and there is talk that Kyle Lohse maybe a call up.

Yu Darvish is still on the DL and there is no talk of when he is supposed to come back.
The rotation is going to be this, Cole Hamels who did great in his last start 6.0 innings 1 earned run and 8 strike outs and has an E.R.A of 1.93
Martin Perez, Nick Martinez, who will start the Boston series coming up this weekend and A.J. Griffin will start the second game of the series.

ShinSooChooOutfieldWell on the good notes, Shin-Soo Choo, is back! And have Ranger fans missed him. In the last 7 games, he has a .279 AVG. This is a much needed boost, Normar Marza has gone cold with his bat, in his last 7 games he is only hitting .179. Ian Desmond, was supposed to have a night off, yesterday but came in to replace Ryan Rua, and hit a 429 ft (according to statcast) home run. Choo also hit a bomb in the 8th to make the game a 6 to 4 Ranger Win.
Adrian Beltre is now number 53 in the all time RBI list passing the Yankee great Mickey Mantle, with a total of 1,510.

The western division is ours and ours alone, Seattle Mariners has crashed in burned and is now third with the Houston Astros taking 2nd place in the West but they are still an impressive 10 games back.

The Rangers are going to host Boston this weekend. Boston is 39 and 32 they are going to put David Price up against Nick Martinez.
