If I Am Writing WWE’s Money in the Bank
- Updated: June 20, 2016

First of all, the WWE is in trouble and the viewership for the live feed of this pay-per-view will be low with Game 7 of the NBA Finals happening at the same time. And because of this, I don’t really expect any groundbreaking events to happen.
This will build into a good rivalry if written correctly. They need to have a good match with a lot of back and forth for about 10 minutes with Sheamus cheating to win. The time duration needs to grow as the rivalry grows with this as well.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin
This rivalry has been over for 3 weeks now. It is old stale and boring just like Dolph’s character. Dolph needs to go back to being heel, and Corbin needs to move on.
Charlotte & Dana Brooke vs. Natalya & Becky Lynch
Lets face it, the women’s revolution has come to a screeching hault. I know there have been unexpected injuries and pregnancies in the division, but if the WWE really wanted to keep this engine roaring, they would have inserted a couple more of their women and had a Money in the Bank ladder match for a Women’s Title briefcase.
United States Championship
Rusev (Champion) vs. Titus O’Neil
I really like this booking. But, only if they are trying to give Titus a push to main event status. Saddly, WWE has proven in the past they love the same old wrestlers time after time. Therefore, Rusev will win, but if I was writing it, I would have the ending look a lot like Hulk Hogan vs the Iron Sheik where Hogan powered out of the Camel Clutch for the win.
WWE Tag Team Championship
The New Day (Champions) vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. The Vaudevillains
It might be time to crown New Tag Team Champions. But, as I feared the WWE has messed up the tag team division as well. The Dudley Boys should be facing Enzo and Big Cass, New Day should be going up against The Vaudevillains and both of these matches should end with interferences by “The Club.” You could then build all these rivalries, and give “The Club” an NWO type feeling. I would build that NWO type feeling until the rivalry is over between Cena and Styles, add Styles back to the mix of the club. Then I would have them cut a promo on Raw about how they are…….wait I am getting ahead of myself here.
The Club is banned from ringside
John Cena vs. AJ Styles
The Club is banned from this match, but Finn Baylor is not. This is the perfect time to debut him. The Club would be complete. More on these two matches, and my plans in the next few days.
Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho vs. Sami Zayn vs. Cesaro vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Kevin Owens
I am looking forward to this match because it does not have a clear cut winner going into the match. Two of the participants have no shot at winning this, which means they will have spots in the match where the crowd will chant “Holly !?#$” and they will then be non factors. Those two people are Alberto Del Rio and Sami Zayn. Jericho and Ambrose both have established characters and in my opinion not need the MITB briefcase to further develop their characters. Therefore, for me it is down to either Cesaro or KO. And quite honestly, it would be so much more fun to have a great heel to have the case, think what Seth Rollins did with it, only better. More on this senerio of when KO should cash in latter as well.
Roman Reigns (Champion) vs. Seth Rollins
I am interested to see if the smaller Seth Rollins can last in a long match with someone the physical size and stature of a Roman Reigns who honestly, is limited on wrestling ability. WWE has always given the nod to the bigger more jacked guy. Roman will win, but the content of the match and the dynamic between the two will be interesting. I would not have booked this match. I don’t believe that you bring a guy back from injury and immediately but him in a title match, especially when you know he is going to loose. Where does he go from there? I would have built Rollins up in other quality matches that he would have won and let him say he was coming after Reigns and the title he never lost at SummerSlam.
