LeBron’s 41 leads Cleveland past Golden State to tie series at 3

For the second straight game LeBron James scores 41 points and for the second straight game the Cleveland Cavaliers win. Cleveland dominated the game from the early going as they led 31-11 at the end of the first quarter.  Cleveland’s largest lead of the game came in the third when they led Golden State 70-46.  When we thought all was lost Golden State came streaking back going on a 25-10 run to end the 3rd quarter, as they cut the lead to nine.  When the fourth quarter came around and the game was on the line Lebron James put the team on his back scoring 14 of his 41 in the fourth quarter to put the game away. He also added 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Kyrie Irving had 23 and Jr Smith had 14.  Cleveland as a team dominated Golden State with points in the paint and in the rebounding department.

“It’s LeBron being LeBron,” Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said. “He’s one of the greatest of all-time. Our back was against the wall and he took it upon himself, him and Kyrie, they put us on their backs. They’ve got us to where we wanted to be – and that’s Game 7.” LeBron James is now 9-8 in playoff elimination games.

Curry who had 30 points and six threes fouled out of the game with 4:40 left in the fourth quarter. After the foul was called he through his mouth piece in the crowd and then headed to the locker room.  The ref proceeded by giving Curry a technical for his outburst.

“He gets six fouls called on him, three of them were absolutely ridiculous,” Kerr said. “As the MVP of the league, we’re talking about these touch fouls in the NBA Finals. I’m happy he threw his mouthpiece.”

“I didn’t think I fouled either Kyrie or LeBron,” said Curry, recounting fouls No. 5 and 6. “It was obviously frustrating fouling out in the fourth quarter of a clinching game and not being out there with my teammates. So it got the best of me, but I’ll be all right for the next game. I had some stuff I wanted to get off my chest tonight after the way the game went.”hi-res-34665ad70e3287e7e235678eb5facec3_crop_north

It hasn’t gone our way the last two,” Curry said. “But I like our chances in Game 7.”

Draymond Green had a decent game after returning from suspension with 10 rebounds. Klay Thompson also had 25 in defeat.

Sunday Lebron James and the Cavilers will try and become the first team in NBA history to win a series being down 3-1.
