Top Ten Thursday

  1. Chicago Cubs

Cubs

Last week: #1

Jake Arrieta may have been defeated, but the Cubs remain hot. They finished up their 10-game homestand 8-2.

  1. San Francisco Giants

Giants

Last week: #3

Hopefully Hunter Pence’s injury won’t slow this team down. That would be my only concern for them right now, the pitching staff is locked in.

  1. Boston Red Sox

RedSox

Last week: #2

Boston will need to do something with their pitching to get back into 1st place of the American League East.

  1. Texas Rangers

Rangers

Last week: #9

This Texas offense is on fire right now!

  1. Washington Nationals

Nationals

Last week: #6

Daniel Murphy’s motto: just keep hitting…  just keep hitting, hitting, hitting.

  1. New York Mets

Mets

Last week: #5

Matt Harvey looks like he’s back to his dominant self.

  1. Cleveland Indians

indians-block-c-logo

Last week: #8

The Indians lost Marlon Byrd for the season, but they did sweep a 4-game series against their division rival Royals.

  1. Seattle Mariners

Mariners

Last week: #7

I loved what I was seeing from the Mariners, but I’m not sure what happened. They let the Padres take one from them then they were swept by the Rangers.

  1. Baltimore Orioles

Orioles

Last week: #10

They do win games, but Orioles starters have the third worst ERA in the American League. Yovani Gallardo has been rehabbing and his return could definitely help.

  1. Pittsburgh Pirates

Pirates

Last week: #4

The Pirates lineup is in a bit of a skid but good news, they have promoted one of the top pitching prospects, right-hander Jameson Taillon. He could help them out a lot on defense.

Left off the list this week:

NONE
