Warriors beat Thunder 96-88 to advance to NBA Finals

download (1)Lead by Stephen Curry who dropped 36 points in 40 minutes of action, Golden State is going back to the finals.  Klay Thompson had another impressive three point shooting game knocking down 6 more tonight. The Warriors as a team shot the three point ball well shooting 45% compared to just 25% for the Thunder.  Russell Westbrook struggled yet again after having a rough end to game 6. He shot just 7-21 and only scored 19 points. Kevin Durant, who possible could be playing his last game with the Thunder scored 27 points and scored seven straight points late in the fourth quarter to cut the lead for the Warriors to four. Unfortunately for the Thunder, Curry and Thompson caught fire late and put the game out of reach.  The main difference in the game was the way Golden State played in the third quarter. They made three 3s on their first three possessions and they also outscored Oklahoma City 29-12 in the quarter.

Steph Curry showed why he was the 2 time Mvp and the first one to be  a unanimous selection. He stayed calm when they were down 3-1 and showed his true leadership leading his team back to win the series 4-3.

Next up for the Golden State Warriors is hosting game 1 in the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavilers. Golden State comes into the game a 5.5 point favorite.
