OTOGH: Bush, Lohse Stubbs & Yu Are In, So Who is Out?

A bit of breaking news.

MattBushMatt Bush is IN! Bush has been called up from Double A Frisco. Bush who has a very public past is going to have his first break into the majors since being in prison.  I have some grave concerns about Bush, he has been out of baseball for four years, but with the Rangers the team has experience handling tough players for example Josh Hamilton when he first came to the Rangers had a handler as Bush will have his father with him. Hamilton had different people with him to help him during the season. When Hamilton went to the Angels he no longer had his handlers and his performance suffered. It is unknown how Bush will handle the big leagues. In Frisco his numbers are 18 strikeouts and 4 walks in 17 innings, with a WHIP of 0.765. He is sober and has been since he went into prison.

Just in! Kyle Lohse is a Ranger having signed a minor league deal with the Rangers. More details to come.

Who else is In…DrewStubbs

The Atlanta Braves did a lot of moving and shaking and released a lot of its players one familiar name was Drew Stubbs, who is playing in the outfield for the Rangers and giving some much needed depth in the outfield. Choo is still on the DL and Hamilton is not coming back anytime soon. Having been moved from the 15 day DL to the 60 day DL.

Who is out?

After a 5 walk inning on Tuesday’s game against the White Sox, the Rangers have traded Anthony Ranaudo for Single A pitcher Matt Ball.

Who is coming In the near future? Yu guessed it.

YuDarvishYu Darvish is in Triple A Round Rock  working on a rehab assignment and the outing was good. 54 pitches 31 strikes 4 innings pitched 1 hit 2 runs 1 earned run 2 BB 4K. If this keeps up we could see Darvish very soon. Which is needed.

AJGriffinRangersWho is out

A.J. Griffin has been placed on the 15 day DL for shoulder stiffness, a injury he felt in the middle of his last outing where he had to leave.

The Blue Jays are coming to Arlington and it should be quite a show, the Rangers took two from the White Sox and before the White Sox were on a four game win streak.

Speaking of White Sox, can I just say I wish Todd Frazier a speedy recovery from haveing his lower lip sliced open on a diving catch into the stands, he needed 5 stitches. Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase Down goes Frazier. but like the Joe the boxer Todd is very tough.
