Fantasy Football: Rookies to look for in your 2016 Draft

With the NFL draft today, not only will dreams come true, but it means we are one step closer to the 2016-2017 NFL Season and Fantasy Football.

The 2016 NFL draft class is full of NFL ready talent and can help you win the big money and avoid a last place embarrassment. Amari Cooper andTodd Gurely were just two of many rookies that had an immediate fantasy impact in their rookie campaigns. There will be plenty more in this draft class but who to target, well there are a select few that are going to help your team in a big way.

Ezekiel Elliott, RB

EzekielElliottWherever this guy goes, he is going to get touches. Elliott can move, 4.47 yard dash, and explodes through the O-line. His field vision can improve but Elliott will be involved in the offense early and often. Heck, I would put him in the slot in certain packages for a simple out route or an under route.

Ezekiel Elliott is an easy choice for a FLEX player in deeper leagues. Depending on his production early, he could become an RB2, but FLEX is an easy call for the Ohio St. alum. Elliott should be targeted in the later rounds for sure. He is still only a rookie and it’s important to grab veterans first.

Projection: 660+ yards, 6 TDs

Jared Goff, QB

Goff is going No.1 to the Rams. Goff will quickly become the face of the LA Rams and the hopeful franchise QB. Goff is a great pocket passer and will run from time to time. The Rams already have an established run game with Todd Gurley and Tre Mason and a star WR in Tavon Austin. Goff will fit right in to this offense and can be a great QB to fill your bye week and could start an addition two or three games given the match-up.JeredGoff

Goff can throw the deep ball, setting up a lot of catches for the explosive Tavon Austin. The Rams could install the option into their offense, giving Goff a chance to grab some rushing yards.  Adapting to the NFL is never easy, but Goff will settle in quickly and should be looked at as a possible QB2.

Projections: 3,750 yards 25 TDs 14 INTs 2 rushing TDs

Laquon Treadwell, WR

LaquonTreadwellDo not let his 40 time make you downgrade Laquon Treadwell’s raw talent. His open field speed and vertical is going to wow people on Sunday’s. Treadwell is a Calvin Johnson like player and is going to tear it up at the next level.

No question Laquon Treadwell is a flex in any league. And if he is grabbed by the Titans or the Vikings ( both in need of a WR), his stats will be better than ever for both of those QBs  are playmakers. Going up against NFL CBs is going to be a rough transition but Treadwell should adjust fine and start to make plays on gameday.

Projections: 1,075 yards 7TDs
