Well. I can’t imagine why in the world you would have been watching golf on a weekend like this one. So many upsets in the second round. (Yes, Michigan State, we are mainly talking about you, busting all our brackets like that.) Anyways, in golf, to be completely honest you didn’t miss much. The usual people found their way to the top of the board, and Sunday was not very exciting at all. Let’s hop in.
The Takeaway
So Jason Day one again. Nothing new at all there, the man has 5 of his last 12 tournaments. In fact he has found the top ten in more than 60% of those tourneys. You could say he is arguably the top in golf right now, barring Scott. Taking a look at some of the other guys up at the top we have Kevin Chappell and Troy Merritt. Those guys are surprising however the course was in perfect condition so any pro golfer could have a great weekend at any point. Chappell was close finishing only 1 back of Day, however could not birdie his last hole to force the playoff. After those two comes Henrik Stenson and Zach Johnson. YES! Zach Johnson finished in the top 5 meaning one of my predictions worked out pretty well. He played his usual solid approach game and limited his mistakes by having a high greens in regulation stat.
