In a game that was ugly for Atlanta from the beginning with a 14 point hole, and a poor shooting percentage from the field at 38%, with a chance to walk away with a 4 game win streak, the Magics’ Nikola Vucevic buried that thought with a turn a round fader at the buzzer with less than 2 seconds.

Atlanta, 4-6 in their last 10, and 13-15 on the road for the year, now drop to 4th place in the East, with two more shots to secure a win on Monday night against the Magic, or Wednesday night against the Bulls, before the All-Star break this upcoming weekend. Where fans should be really thoughtful during the festivities this weekend, is what will the organization will do seeing as how the trade deadline is a mere two weeks away.

KentBazemore2As for the heart breaker that occurred Sunday afternoon, you’ll be happy to know that Jeff Teague was the guy this time scoring 24 points and dishing 5 dimes, and Kent Bazemore had an outstanding game with 23 points and 8 boards. Kyle Korver chipped in 10, Al Horford had 11 with 6 boards AND 6 dimes, while Paul Millsap had a quiet night with 14 points.

Orlando Magic Center Nikola Vucevic was the hero and leading scorer with 22 points and 9 boards, with Evan Fournier hitting 21, Victor Oladipo hitting 19, and Elfrid Payton scoring 12.

The Magic and Hawks will have a rematch on Monday night in Atlanta.
