50 Shades of Blue

Wow what a week! When I decided to start my blog, I gave myself a word limit. However with recent events over at Stamford Bridge, that word limit is about to be smashed!ChelseaFlag

Lets start with the game at the weekend

The league duties took a back seat as we traveled to MK Dons in the FA cup and left with a fantastic 5-1 scoreline!

The team had a nice surprise in with Loftus-Cheek finally getting the start everybody has wished for. Not only did he start but he put in a fantastic performance and also an assist. Here was the starting line up.

Courtois – GK

Ivanovic – RBChelseaTallLogo

Cahill – CB

Terry – CB

Baba – LB

Fabregas – CM

Matic – CM

Oscar – LM

Hazard -RM

Loftus-Cheek -AM

Costa- CF

Chelsea played with pure freedom and slickness in the game and a hat trick from Oscar marked a fantastic game for the Blues! There were moments in midfield where our sloppy tackles allowed some attacks from MK Dons! Chelsea however bossed the game and never looked in danger and on another day could have scored even more!

Baba had a fantastic game at left back and a great confidence boost for him, but the biggest shout must go to 2 players.

Hazard Eden Hazard enjoyed a fantastic game by not only setting up a goal, but finally after 30 games got on the score sheet. Yes it was via the penalty spot, but as he has missed his last 2 spot kicks, so putting this one away was a welcome sign.

Hopefully now he can push on and go through the gears and remind us all why he was young play of the year last season.

Another special mention must go to young prodigy Bertrand Traore.

Bertrand Traore

Bertrand has been bursting at the seams for some game time, and when Jose was here Bertrand was promised game time (But most our youngsters were).

Bertrand sat patiently and finally got half an hour yesterday, and he not only played well but put an excellent finish to a hazard through ball. It was his 1st goal for the club and if he can continue like that then he will have a great career at the club!

Bertrands transfer to Chelsea has led Chelsea to be under a Fifa investigation as he may have played when not legally allowed when we originally signed him.

Bertrand was 16 when given his Chelsea debut and rules stipulate that non EU players can not play games.

If Chelsea is found guilty they will face a transfer embargo for 2 transfer windows as they are currently on a suspended sentence from when we tried to sign Gael Kakuta.

In Other News…

alexandre-pato-chelsea-shirt-cobham-press-presser_3407755 Alex Pato (remember him?)

Has signed for Chelsea on a 6 month loan deal, some may say its 5 years to late but at the age of 26 maybe Pato can finally realize his potential and once again become a fearsome striker! He certainly has the skills and eye for goal to make it, but we all know the premier league is a different kettle of fish compared to other leagues.

We all at Chelsea wish you well Alex and hope you will be a success.

miazga chelsea

Matt Miazga made the jump over the pond to sign for Chelsea on Friday!

Matt has been putting in some fantastic performances in the MLS for New York Red Bulls and at just 20 years of age, has become a well known tough tackling defender. I for one have watched him in a few games and I really hope this isn’t a youngster that Chelsea goes on to ruin.

With the right coaching and chances to play he could really become a real gem at Stamford Bridge!

Manager Picks His Club

Pep Guardiola has finally opened up the worlds worst kept secret and has put pen to paper on a 3 year deal at Man City. Chelsea fans had hoped Pep would take the reigns at Chelsea but the appeal of Man City seemed too good to turn down. Personally I don’t have any respect for Guardiola and his record. Yes he has won a lot of trophies, however his career has been laid out for him.

He hasn’t built any teams, all he has done is add to the already solid foundations and gone to clubs with players at the peak of their powers! I feel he turned down Chelsea simply because we have had a difficult season and the club needs a rebuild which isn’t at all in Guardiolas strength. The one season he didn’t win the title, he packed up his shirt and tie and quit for a year!

The big question now remains who will take over at Chelsea!

Captain, Leader Legend!

John Terry Ladies and Gentleman I give you John Terry.

Captain fantastic! With 700 appearances to his name and around 690 awesome performances I regret to inform you that John Terry will not be offered a new contract by Chelsea and will leave at the end of the season………..

But Wait….

All is not as it seems.

After the MK Dons game John did an interview to inform us of the boards decision, I took to twitter as did many Chelsea fans and threw insults at the board. How dare they treat our legend and captain in such a disgusting way? Have they no shame? Have they no integrity?

Well all is not as it seems.

Chelsea actually told John that no contract is currently being offered as they wanted to hire a new manager 1st and see where his plans sat with John. Johns argument is that Ivanovic and Cahill were offered new deals so why not him. John is 35 and that may be the reason! I do hope and pray that come the end of the season, John is offered a new deal and isn’t left on the scrap heap! I feel him coming out to the media this way is trying to force the board into making a decision.

John has given blood sweat and tears for this club and deserves to be treated with a bit of respect! They say no man is bigger than the club and I agree 99% of the time, however this one time I disagree. John is the final player left before the Roman era, John knows what Chelsea means and has the club running through his blood. If john goes there is no one left with the influence and love of Chelsea that can go out on that pitch every week and show a lions heart with every performance!

In Other News.

Patrick Bamford has joined Norwich on loan, he clearly is surplus to requirements at Chelsea despite hitting the net on a regular basis when on loan. This loan will only boost his value for a later sale.

Charly Musonda has joined Real Betis. I was angry with this loan deal at 1st but if his talent is to develop he needs to play competitive football on a regular basis. Hopefully this is a fruitful loan, and Musonda comes back a better player and ready to create havoc for defenses in the Premier league for Chelsea.

Pit Of The Week.

The John Terry situation it needs to be sorted soon and the board need to realize their classless ways of dealing with the legends of the club makes us look a disgusting club.

Peak Of The Week.

Bertrand Traores 1st goal for the club, and overall performance! funny how Jose didn’t want to give these youngsters a game, yet since Jose has left, they have all played and all scored. Something you may want to think about Jose! The chequebook doesn’t always have all the answers.

Until Next week…….  KTBFFH
