Lebron’s 24 points helps sink Knicks 91-84

It was a night that Carmelo Anthony did not suit up for the Knicks. He sat the game due to a ankle injury.

In 38 minutes Lebron James shot 9 for 22 and led all scorers with 24 points. Kevin Love also had a big game scoring 23 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Kyrie Irving struggled in only 19 minutes of action scoring 5 points on 1-7 shooting.

Despite having a lower three point and shooting percentage the Cavs were able to play well when it mattered in the fourth quarter.  They outscored the Knicks 19 to 12 to close out the game and win.

We preach offensively it’s not always going to be pretty,” James said. “Tonight we needed the defensive end. We just got stops.”

Rookie Kristaps Porzingis had another impressive game scoring 23 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

“They’re a very experienced team and they’re not fearful in any moment,” Knicks coach Derek Fisher said. “That’s what you strive for as a group. An experienced team like Cleveland is obviously better down the stretch.” The Cavs will look to to win Christmas Day when they play the defending champion Golden State Warriors.
