Monday Morning QB

635483652616788145-GTY-456290972Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has inched his team even closer to the postseason, he threw four touchdown passes and ran for another score as they secured a 38-17 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Bridgewater has become the main attraction in Minnesota the past two weeks. When the Vikings took on the Arizona Cardinals, he completed 25 passes for a career high 335 yards. The success didn’t stop there, it spilled over to Sunday. The second-year quarterback was 17 of 20 for 231 yards with four touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a passer rating of 154.4. He also rushed four times for 17 yards and a fifth score. Not since Brett Favre have the Vikings had a quarterback throw for four touchdowns in a game. Bridgewater became the first quarterback since 1964 to complete at least 85 percent of his passes with four touchdowns, zero interceptions and a rushing touchdown in a single game.

PI-NFL-Bridgewater-Teddy-workout-122814.vadapt.620.high.56This heat from Bridgewater is coming at exactly the right time. If he can keep this up through December and into January, the Vikings will be a tough opponent for any team in the NFC to contend with. The Green Bay Packers will host the Vikings at Lambeau Field in Week 17 for a division deciding game. They could also be Minnesota’s first round opponent in the NFC playoffs. Bridgewater just needs to keep playing like he’s been these last two games and the Vikings will be very scary once the playoffs start.
