Mavericks defeat Knicks behind 25 Dirk Nowitzki points

dirk-buzzer-beater-vs-knicksjpg-25fde1e012c9e812In 33 minutes Dirk Nowitzki shot 9 of 18 and scored 25 points to lead the Dallas Mavericks past the New York Knicks 104-97.

The Mavericks also had a big game from Williams who added 20 points and seven assists.  Dallas at one point in the game led by as many as 20 points, but in the fourth quarter the Knicks started to surge back. The comeback was sparked by rookie Porzingis, who had a game high 28 points on 13 of 18 shooting.  Carmelo Anthony also added 17 points on 6 of 18 shooting.

Melo had a overall a good game also adding 8 assists and 6 rebounds. Unfortunately for the Knicks Melo had a key technical which, cost them the game. Williams then put the game away with a late bucket . The Mavericks have won there last 11 out of 14 games in New York. They will try to build mommentum on this game when they play the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night.  The Knicks will visit the Utah Jazz and try to bounce back from a poor defensive performance tonight.
