bucksKnicks1The Bucks contained the Knicks offensive attack to win 106-91. Down three ball-handlers, Bucks coach Jason Kidd turned to his veteran shooting guard in O.J. Mayo to start the game at point guard. Michael Carter-Williams, the Bucks’ only healthy true point guard, had 20 points off the bench and Milwaukee used a 21-4 run in the third quarter to pull away from New York.

The bucks defense was impressive all night long holding the Knicks to just 25% shooting from long range. Michael Carter Williams scored his 20 points on 9-16 shooting.  Jabari Parker and shooting guard OJ Mayo each had 17 points to help balance the attack on offense.

Mayo had five assists and was 8 of 12 from the field. “One turnover for a guy who we would say likes to shoot it,” Head Coach Jason Kidd said when referring to Mayo. “I think he showed what it means to be a true teammate.” “Whatever we need, you know,” Mayo said when asked about running the offense. In total the Milwaukee Bucks had 5 players score at least 15 plus points in the game.
