5 Touchdown passes from Stafford lead Lions past struggling Eagles
- Updated: November 27, 2015

The Lions won there third straight game Thanksgiving day behind the arm of Matthew Stafford. Stafford completed 27/38 passes for 337 yards, and 5 touchdown passes. Calvin Johnson also had a big game with 8 catches 93 yards and 3 touchdown grabs.
The Eagles continued there struggles on both sides of the ball. This is the second straight game that they have allowed a quarterback to throw 5 touchdowns. There defense has given up 90 points in the last two games alone. There offense has been equally bad. Mark Sanchez was under pressure all game and hurried into making inaccurate throws. I give alot of credit to the Detroit defense, as they limited the Eagles to only 60 rushing yards.
With this loss the eagles drop to 4-7 on the season and put them a game and a half behind the Giants for the NFC East lead. For wild card purposes they are now two in a half games behind the Atlanta Falcons. The Lions will need to continue there winning ways against the Packers to keep there wild card hopes alive.
