It was 52-30 at halftime, and numbers like that have become a trend at Heat games. New York was the eighth NBA team so far this season to score no more than 30 points in a half – and three of those instances have come by teams visiting Miami. The Knicks hadn’t even trailed by double figures in any of their last eight games. Miami led at one point by 26, simultaneously its biggest advantage and the Knicks’ biggest deficit so far this season.

The Knicks struggled all night to make baskets, especially from the three point line. The Knicks shot 16.7% from three point land. The Heat also contained there fast break offense, as the Knicks only had two fast break points.

We’re starting to figure it out,” Wade said. The Heat are steadily improving defensively and that is the main reason why they are 6-1 in there last seven home games.

Carmelo Anthony had 21 and after the game he said “we missed shots early. It kind of got us down a little bit. We did a much better job in the second half making the adjustment. But by that time we were already in the hole.” Rookie Pozingis struggled from the feild missing 11 of his 16 shots. The Knicks will try and change things around Wednesday when the visit the Orlando Magic.
