Pozingis & Anthony Lead Knicks to 2 Wins

This was suppose to be a rebuilding year and they were suppose to be God awful. Surprisingly the Knicks, find themselves over .500 sitting at 7-6. Friday nights road win over the Thunder makes it three in a row for the Knicks.

635836575555230621-2015-11-20-Carmelo-Anthony Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points on 9-20 shooting and kept his turnovers down to only 3.  Aaron Afflao added 14 points on 6-11 shooting. In the 5 games Aaron Afflao has played he has been averaging 12 points a game and he is a big reason why the Knicks are playing well.  After the game coach Fisher said “just reminding the guys that the end result is just figuring out a way to win, regardless of how it looks” The Knicks also shot 60 % from down the arch and that truly made the difference at the end of the game.

In a loss Russell Westbrook played well having scored 34 points. He also had 7 rebounds and 7 assists to go along with that. The Thunder definitely missed Kevin Durant, especially in the 4th Quarter where they could of used the extra scoring. The Thunder are now 2-3 without him.  They will host a red hot Dallas team Sunday and the Knicks will try and make it 4 in row as they travel to play Houston.

Then in Houston…….

PorzingisKnicksPozingis led the Knicks with a big night scoring 24 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. What was the most impressive thing about his performance was that he had 7 rebounds.”It was concern from people who didn’t know,” Anthony said. “People didn’t know what to expect. Nobody had ever seen him before and people were all so upset that the Knicks drafted him.” Fisher also made some comments regarding rookie Pozingis saying “I know for a fact that that was one thing that jumped out to management and to Phil (Jackson) that was really impressive about his game on the defensive end,” Fisher then said. “Everybody, of course, was fascinated by the shot-making, but we thought the activity on the defensive end was one thing that would really give him a chance to be good.” The Knicks are now 8-6 and snapped an 11 game losing streak against the Rockets.  The Knicks did not earn there 8th win last year until january 23rd. That puts it in perspective on how well the Knicks are doing compared to last year. James Harden had 24 points in a loss and Dwight howard did not play. The Knicks visit the Heat on Monday and try to make it 5 in a row.
