Monday Morning QB

6a00e54f7fc4c5883301a73e0ec0c5970dTony Romo is back and his return was successful. He wasn’t perfect (2 INTs), but he did just enough to give the Dallas Cowboys their first win since Week 2, beating the Miami Dolphins, 24-14.

tony-romoRomo suffered a broken left clavicle in Week 2 and had been out ever since. His day included several off-mark passes and the two interceptions, but it also featured his 50th career touchdown pass to Dez Bryant. That touchdown pass broke Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin’s career record for connections between a quarterback and wide receiver.

Romo might have been rusty with a 57.5 passer rating, but he was far more effective than Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel were while he was out. “Just him being back gives everybody that much more juice,” Dez Bryant said. “I’m not trying to put any pressure on Tony, we’re just showing how much he really means. It’s nothing against Brandon, it’s nothing against Matt. We all know who are leader is. Tony’s outstanding. He makes things happen. That’s exactly what he did today.”NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles

It still remains to be seen if Tony Romo can save the Cowboys season, but he doesn’t have that much time to rest until the next game. The Cowboys take on the undefeated Carolina Panthers on Thanksgiving.
