Villa’s Amavi to miss rest of season
- Updated: November 16, 2015
Aston Villa full-back Jordan Amavi has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
21 year-old Amavi, who joined Villa from Ligue 1 side Nice in the summer, picked up the injury while playing for France Under 21s on Thursday.
The club said: “Everyone at the club wishes Jordan a speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing him back on a football pitch as soon as possible.”
Villa are currently bottom of the Premier League and face Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.
