Pick Six: Week Ten

NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers at New England PatriotsAfter being well-received last week, “Pick Six” is back! “Pick Six” is a new weekly article where I choose six fantasy football questions asked by YOU over on Twitter! Questions for the article can be asked any time from Monday through Tuesday afternoon, just send them to @FantasyFlurry. Of course, you can ask other questions anytime during the week and I will answer them.

1) Thomas Gibbons @thechicagofan —

Q: Is DeAngelo Williams a RB2 or Flex play the rest of the year?

A: As long as he is healthy, he is easily a RB2 with upside. He does have a foot injury, so I would handcuff him with Jordan Todman.Mike-Evans-Tampa-Bay-Buccaneers

2) The McStop @TheMcStop —

Q: Will Mike Evans continue to be a reliable WR, or will he go back to the first few weeks of the season?

A: I think the Mike Evans that we see now is closer to the one we will see going forward. Although he needs to stop dropping the ball, he should see plenty of targets with some good matchups coming up.

3) Harry Duffy @DuffyHarduf63 — legarrette-blount-nfl-super-bowl

Q: Do you have any clean feel on the New England RBs going forward?

A: Does anyone? Obviously Blount is the running back you want to own. He will see the majority of the snaps going forward, but obviously the Patriots like to play their tricks. If I had to pick another RB, I would pick James White, and that’s not because I’m a Badgers fan. When Lewis was out before, White was the pass-catching running back used.

4) Matt from Iowa @red14shadow —

Q: With Dion Lewis out, I need a new RB. Thoughts on Karlos Williams?

A: Karlos Williams is definitely worth a pickup, especially with McCoy’s shoulder injury. However, I don’t really love him this week against the Jets’ #2 ranked run defense. If you can manage to get by without playing him this week, that’s what I’d do.Fitz

5) Fantasy Football @THE_FantasyGoTo —

Q: Choose 3 PPR: (Fitzgerald @SEA), (John Brown @SEA), (Hurns @BAL), (Snead @WAS), (Cobb vs DET), (Lacy vs DET), and (Barnidge @PIT).

A: I would go with Fitzgerald, Snead, and Cobb. I could see playing Hurns over Fitzgerald considering his touchdown streak and he could have a bigger day, but I feel Fitzgerald is a bit safer. I am nervous about Barnidge even though he has a pretty good matchup. Manziel just doesn’t look for him. Barnidge has at least 100 yards and/or a touchdown in the last six games started by McCown. He has only 52 yards and no touchdowns in the two games that Manziel has started.

6) Cleat Geeks @cleatgeeks —

Q: I have Big Ben on my team, do I keep him for a possible playoff run, or just let him go? Palmer is my 2nd QB. ben-roethlisberger-pictures-hq-pictures-ben-roethlisberger-17286

A: If you can stash him on your bench and not worry about a wasted roster spot, I’d do it. He will probably only miss two weeks, and Palmer should be able to be a good enough play, even with a bad matchup this week.

Thank you to everyone who submitted questions this week, and sorry if yours didn’t get picked! Make sure to send more questions to @FantasyFlurry this week to get answers/advice, and also send them on Monday-Tuesday afternoon for a chance to make it in next week’s “Pick Six”!
