Kansas and Talladega

This weeks race is Kansas. If this race is anything like last year it could be as bad as going to Talladega for the chase drivers, most of the chase drivers had some kind of trouble in this race last year. Who is the favorite for Kansas from the chase drivers I am going to go with Martin Truex, Jr who dominated this race back in the spring. This was one of four races in a row he lead most laps in without getting a win. I think he is going to be dominating again, and finish the job this time.KyleLarsonNascar

Now the non chase driver that can spoil it would be Kyle Larson, who is still looking for the first win of his career, and always ran well on the 1.5 mile tracks. Don’t be surprise if he up front looking for that win.

Looking ahead, next week is Talladega back to back challenging tracks for the chase drivers. These are two tracks that give chase drivers a fear that they possible might miss the next round of the chase, and Talladega is always up in the air. What chase driver is the favorite? I am going out on a limb here and saying Jeff Gordon this is his final race on a super-speedway, and his final full time year as a driver. I think Jeff winning here would be great both for the sport, and his chase chances cause this is the track that Dale Sr. made home. Jeff  and Dale had great battles here, and it is the track Jeff broke the tie he had with Dale Sr. in wins on.

Non chase driver I think could win and spoil everyone’s chances of winning and or advancing to the next round would be Jamie McMurray. He is one of the best at drafting, and with nothing to lose why not go for the win.
