Monday Morning QB

01-12-2013-colin-kaepernick-3_4San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick continues to struggle in Week 4. Last week, Kaepernick threw four interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns. This week, he failed to get anything going, completing 13 of 25 passes for just 160 yards and an interception.  It was the third time in four games that he failed to break 200 yards passing and he was also sacked 6 times. Kaepernick was the Niners’ leading rusher, with
57 yards on 10 runs. 49ers fans had hope that a game against Green Bay could bring back a winning Kaepernick. In three previous games, all wins, he had dominated Green Bay, rushing for more than 100 yards twice and throwing for more than 400 yards once. The Packers didn’t forget him running wild all over them in the NFC playoff game in 2013, when he rushed for a record 181 yards and kissed his bicep after scoring.  Clay Matthews mocked him by kissing his own bicep after sacking Kaepernick in the third quarter. The 49ers lost, 17-3. Colin Kaepernick took San Francisco to the Super Bowl in his first season as a starter. His struggles early in the season is a problem for the San Francisco 49ers, as they now sit at 1-3 going into Week 5 when they face Eli Manning and the New York Giants (2-2) on Sunday Night Football.  This loss will only add to speculation of whether or not the team will begin looking for a different answer at quarterback.

Doesn’t seem like a good idea for you to rip off Peter King, “Monday Morning QB” is his.

Peter King has a weekly column for sports Illustrated that is called Monday Morning Quarterback, our column is Monday Morning QB. It is close, but it is not a rip off.
