Monday Morning QB: Fantasy Football Edition

sundayticketfantasyfootball

This Monday Morning QB article will go along with this week’s theme “Wall 2 Wall Fantasy Football.” We are going to take a look at the top 5 quarterbacks you should be drafting in your fantasy football leagues.

1. Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts

Luck has blossomed into a top quarterback and personally, my number one pick. A Super Bowl is in his future and it could be this year. He jumped from 11th in pass attempts in 2013 to third last year. Luck deserves to be your number one pick at quarterback.

2015 Projected FF Points: 324.3

2. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

Being a Chicago Bears fan, I hate to say it but Rodgers is a top quarterback and the quarterback you should strive to get if you have a high draft number. He’ll be taken fast. His accuracy is unbelievable and he’s got a big arm. Rodgers will be missing Jordy Nelson this season, but I definitely think he’ll still be putting up a lot of points.

2015 Projected FF Points: 321.1

3. Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

This could be a good year to draft Wilson as your quarterback. In all three of his seasons, the Seahawks have called at least 70 more running plays than passing and as a result, Wilson never finished higher than 15th in the league in single season passing yards. The Seahawks did trade for Jimmy Graham giving Wilson the kind of weapon he’s never had. We should expect him to exceed his career best 26 passing touchdowns.

2015 Projected FF Points: 299.8

4. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos

Manning is 4th on my list because last season, he subtracted 750 yards and 16 TDs from his incredible 2013 campaign. Given, this year can be different than last year for him. But make sure you know his go to targets; Julius Thomas and Wes Welker are gone.

2015 Projected FF Points: 297

5. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints

Brees no longer has Jimmy Graham and his receiving corps consists of a declining Marques Colston and some unproven young players. But if you can’t get any of the guys above him on this list, you should go for him. He will put up points.

2015 Projected FF Points: 301.9
