Baggies block Berahino transfer request
- Updated: August 27, 2015

West Bromwich Albion have rejected a transfer request from star striker Saido Berahino.
The club rejected an offer for the 22 year-old from Tottenham Hotspur last week, with Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace stating that selling the England Under-21 international was “simply not on our agenda.”
Berahino was left out of the West Brom team that lost 3-2 at home to Chelsea on Sunday, with manager Tony Pulis suggesting the youngster’s head had been turned by interest in him from Spurs.
Tottenham are rumored to be lining up a new $20 million bid for the striker, who has netted 29 goals in 83 appearances for the West Midlands club.
