The club released a statement that said the working relationship between Pearson and the board was ‘no longer viable.’

According to the BBC, Pearson’s dismissal was linked to his son’s sacking earlier this year.

51 year-old Pearson guided the Foxes to Premier League survival last season, winning seven and drawing one of their last nine league games.

However, at the end of May, three of the club’s trainees, including Pearson’s son, James, 21, were involved in a racist sex orgy in Thailand.

The incident hit the media and the trio were all dismissed by the club, whose owners hail from Thailand.

The BBC is reporting that the decision to part ways with Nigel Pearson is ‘not a football issue.’

Pearson was sacked by the club’s chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, in February, only to be reinstated a few hours later.

He then hit the headlines again after a touchline altercation with Crystal Palace’s James McArthur and described a reporter as ‘an ostrich’ at a press conference after a defeat to Chelsea.

However, after leading his side to Premier League safety, it would appear as though his off the field antics, coupled with his son’s actions in Thailand, have cost Pearson his job.
