The Tragic Death of Darryl Hamilton
- Updated: June 22, 2015

Daryl Hamilton was found dead inside a Pearland, Texas, home on Sunday along with Monica Jordan in what police are saying looks like a murder suicide. According to Houston’s FOX 26, Hamilton was shot multiple times after which it appears that Jordan killed herself. The two deceased bodies were found in two separate places of the home. Hamilton’s body was found near the home’s front entryway while Jordan’s body was reportedly found in another part of the home. Details are just starting to come in as an investigation is still ongoing.
There was a third person in the home, a 14 month-old child. The child was found alive and unharmed. Reportedly, both the deceased adults, Hamilton and Jordan were the parents of the child. According to the Houston Chronicle, the child has been released to Child Protective Services.
Hamilton played for five teams over the course of his 13-year career, batting .291 with 15 homers, 454 RBI and 707 runs. At the time of his tragic death, he was working as an analyst for the MLB Network and had been since 2013.
