San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback, Colin Kaepernick has a lot to prove this upcoming season and it looks like he’s getting started early. His teammate, tight end, Vernon Davis is even praising him for his new look. When Vernon took the field for an off-season workout, he thought he was looking at a new quarterback for the 49ers and Vernon likes what he sees. Colin Kaepernick spend the past two months working on his game in Phoenix with QB coach, Dennis Gile and two time league MVP, Kurt Warner. “I didn’t even know that was Colin,” Davis said to laughter at Levi’s Stadium. “No, seriously. He was working on his dropback and I was just, ‘Who is that?’ “You guys are in for a treat. He looks like a totally different guy. I think it was really genuine and I think he’s just a class guy. It shows that he’s humble, for him to go to someone and work on his craft and get better. And it shows that his approach to this game, he’s just relentless. “He just wants to be great and I respect that. And that’s another reason why I’m in this building today.” Colin is the key to success or failure for this San Francisco team. “I just want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to make sure I’m getting better and doing my part to help this team win,” he said. “You have to be able to change and adapt to be the best player you can be.” Kaepernick’s total quarterback rating fell from 68.6 (sixth in the league) to 55.9 last season (17th in the league). Colin has said he’s picked up some “knowledge” this off-season. He wanted to alter his off-season approach to simply get better, he said. “We didn’t have the season we wanted to last year. I could have played better last year; offensively, we should have played better last year. So, something had to change.” Colin Kaepernick is very excited to work with new head coach, Jim Tomsula and new offensive coordinator, Geep Chryst. This could be the start of a new beginning for the San Francisco 49ers.
