Life Without Rose.. Again
- Updated: February 26, 2015

Derrick Rose will undergo surgery for meniscus tear in his right knee. Rose said he was having right knee pain during the day on Tuesday, an exam and MRI confirmed the tear. Derrick’s return time table will be determined after his surgery. The Bulls and Rose decided to fix the tear rather than cutting the damaged part out. The Chicago Bulls point guard was averaging 18.4 points and 5.0 assists in 46 games this season. The torn meniscus was the same injury he suffered on November 22nd 2013 against the Portland Trail Blazers. With Derrick Rose being out, the Chicago Bulls have possibly lost the chance of winning a championship this year. The Bulls were favorites to win along with the Golden State Warriors. This couldn’t come at a worse time, as the trade window just closed and the Bulls made no moves. Nate Robinson was Rose’s surrogate in the 2012-2013 season so they could sign him for the rest of the season and hope Derrick is back for playoffs. This team already knows how to be less dependent on Rose this season, but the defense hasn’t been up to Bulls’ standards anyway. All the Chicago Bulls can do now is hope for the best.
