Bright Future For The Cubs
- Updated: February 25, 2015

It’s a good time to be a Chicago Cubs fan. Baseball America published its annual Top 100 MLB prospects list on February 18th. They ranked members of the Cubs’ organization first and third overall, with Kris Bryant earning the top spot and shortstop Addison Russell landing two spots later. The Cubs have two more prospects ranked in the top 20, outfielder Jorge Soler taking the 12th spot and catcher Kyle Schwarber at number 19. The Cubs have 4 prospects in the top 20. That’s not it; the team already includes young All-Stars Starlin Castro and Anthony Rizzo in the everyday lineup. The Cubs are loaded with young talent not only on a minor league level, but at a major league level as well. Bryant and Russell are expected to start the season at Triple-A Iowa while Soler will be the right fielder on opening day. This franchise has seen a lot of misery, but this brings optimism to the team and fans. All this young talent could finally bring the Cubs to the promise land.
