Important Off-Season Dates For Chicago Bears Fans

The Chicago Bears released a list of important off-season dates, which includes the NFL scouting combine that started on February 17th. New head coach John Fox and new general manger Ryan Pace both spoke to the media on Wednesday the 18th while at the Combine. While addressing the media, Fox had announced the Bears will switch to a 3-4 defense.

Since they have a new coach, the team is permitted to conduct a voluntary veteran mini-camp, which is open to the media, but not the public April 28-30 at Halas Hall. The mini-camp will be followed by the NFL Draft April 30-May 2. The Chicago Bears will hold their rookie mini-camp May 8-10 and 10 OTA (Organized Team Activity) practices will be held, including three that are open to the media May 27, June 3, and June 10. After that, the Bears will have their mandatory full-squad mini-camp June 16-18. Also, the team will announce the rookie and veteran winners of the Brian Piccolo Awards April 28 and host the Bears Care Gala in the United Club at Soldier Field on May 30.
