Ahhhh, Push Him

Ladies and Gentleman, it is time to introduce you to a new weekly article, “Ahhhh, Push Him” where I will choose a WWE Superstar or DIVA that I feel deserves a push from the WWE to bring their character to a whole new level. The decision will be made by me, based upon their recent performance both inside the ring and on the microphone as well. I welcome any feedback or questions that you have, even though I am told my opinion is never wrong by a guy in the mirror who looks an awful lot like me.

So without further ado, the inaugural winner of my prestigious Ahhhh, Push Him award is….Rusev! I feel that it is only fair to admit that I had considered Damien Sandow, as well, for his strong work as the under appreciated stunt double for The Miz. However, I decided to go with Rusev and I will tell you why.

While Sandow is a good performer both in the ring and on the microphone, I do not see him currently possessing the necessary requirements to become what the WWE so sorely needs…a main eventer. Rusev, on the other hand, not only has the look and presence required to reach main event status but also has generated meaningful heat with fans.

Not to mention the fact that he has an undefeated record and a tremendous manager/valet/handler/spokesperson in Lana and a meaningful feud with John Cena brewing.

I feel that Rusev can become one of the brightest stars on the roster, if simply given the opportunity.

Some of you may be saying, that a feud with the golden boy, John Cena and a current lock on the United States Title is a push. And I guess it is, but I want to see the WWE give him main event type matches. As of now he wrestles in the second hour of Raw, and I would like to see him in the last match of evening.

You can say it, Lana is hot. She reminds me of Stacy Keibler, when she was turning heads and showing off her legs in short skirts.

She is god on the mic and has the “crush” thing down to a science. I wish she would use her assets to distract the referees a little more often to create some heat on her as well that I think would add another level of hatred to them together.

I certainly hope that the WWE chooses to have Cena put Rusev over and allows him to continue to develop his character as he hovers on the precipice of super stardom as one of the company’s biggest heels to date. If you are reading this, WWE management, please allow Rusev to continue to carry the ball and see just how far he can continue to run with it into 2016.
