ETO’O SET FOR SAMP AFTER PASSING MEDICAL
- Updated: January 28, 2015

Samuel Eto’o is expected to complete his move from Everton to Sampdoria early this week.
The Cameroon international was at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris for Samp’s 1-1 draw with Palermo on Sunday having already completed a medical with the Serie ‘A’ club.
Earlier this month, Toffees manager Roberto Martinez had denied reports linking the 33 year-old with a move away from the club. However, Eto’o posted a picture of himself in a Sampdoria polo shirt on Twitter and said that his move to Italy was nearly complete.
Eto’o, who is a four-time African Footballer of the Year, joined Everton on a free transfer in the summer, after a season with Premier League rivals Chelsea, where he scored 12 goals in 35 appearances. This season, the former Real Mallorca, Barcelona, Inter Milan and Anzhi Makhachkala striker has managed 4 goals from 19 appearances in all competitions.
