Yaya Sanogo has joined Crystal Palace from Arsenal on loan until the end of the season. The 21 year-old is new boss Alan Pardew’s first signing at Palace.

The Eagles were in the market for a new striker after Kevin Doyle’s loan from Wolves ended.

French striker Sanogo has had limited first-team opportunities at Arsenal and was linked with a move back to his home country, but Gunners manager Arsene Wenger wanted him to go on loan to a Premier League club.

Sanogo told the Guardian; “When the Arsenal manager spoke to me about Crystal Palace I was very happy because I want to play more games.”

Sanogo could make his Palace debut on Saturday against Burnley.
