BURNLEY SIGN MICHAEL KEANE
- Updated: January 13, 2015

England under-21 international Michael Keane will make his loan move from Manchester United to Burnley permanent, after the two clubs agreed to exchange a fee, which has not been disclosed.
The 21 year-old has been on loan at Turf Moor since September, making 11 first team appearances in league and cup. He has signed a three and a half year deal with the Clarets, tying him to the club until 2018.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche said; “Michael is a good young player and we see a lot of development in him as he’s on a good pathway at the moment and we’re delighted he has decided to join us.”
Keane will continue his centre-back partnership with Jason Shackell, with fellow defender Kevin Long ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
The deal is thought to be worth between $2- 3 million pounds for Keane, who has previously spent time on loan at Blackburn Rovers, Derby County and Leicester City.
